My Certifications and Memberships

Biography

  • Born in Ithaca, New York. Graduated from Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg, NY in 1976.
  • Attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1976 and 1977.
  • Owned a health food store and bakery from 1978-80.
  • Worked in retail and in the oil patch from 1980-82.
  • Moved to Austin in 1983.
  • Graduated from Univ. of Texas at Austin  with a degree in Accounting in 1986.
  • Worked in public accounting for 3 years, then in industry for 15 (Controller at the Austin Symphony and ATPE.) Started CPA practice in 2004.

Interests & Hobbies:

  • Played baseball and soccer in high school. Played club soccer at Wisconsin.
  • Also enjoy mountain biking and playing drums and bass.
  • Interesting tidbit: I played in a country-rock band for 3 years. Still jam occasionally.
